KPIT has taken innovation and invention to new levels and has set benchmarks, globally. With development centres in Europe, the USA, Japan, China, Thailand, and India, KPIT has acted like a catapult in the areas of embedded software, AI (Artificial Intelligence) and digital solutions, accelerating the implementation of next-generation mobility technologies. Zooming in to the inventiveness of our country, KPIT Sparkle has the title of being one of the biggest stages for bang-on inventions made by the students of Engineering, Science and Design. The young innovators of India build solutions to tackle the challenges faced by society. KPIT Sparkle stands proud to have nurtured and identified over 50 patentable solutions. In 2022, KPIT Sparkle was overjoyed to receive over 1,300 ideas from 15,000 students across India, out of which, the top 24 were selected to present themselves at the mega-event hosted by Pimpri Chinchwad College of Engineering.
We at Creative Splash relish being associated with such a platform, that fuels the future of India! We have been shooting, editing and producing content that covered the span of the event. Our days at KPIT Sparkle are powered by excitement, joyous surprises, scientific revelations and indeed, lots of Chai! Every year, we make an event teaser for the project and that is supposed to be as power-packed as the competition is!
The Challenge
KPIT Sparkle- the scope and the extent. The event was rocking the city for 2 days straight. It was an extensive event with daunting creations packed in every corner, occupying every inch of the ground. With so many creations, the process was an overwhelming one. Further, packing the inauguration, innovation, prize distributions and the entirety of the event in a teaser was definitely a task. But you can only pack something when you have content to add to it. Yes, we had our camera team planting set-ups everywhere under the roof. After gathering footage that covered the entirety of the event. To summarise the challenges part, we had to shoot, edit and submit the teaser without missing out on any event.
The Provision
Name it and we had it, drones flying over our heads as our heads were finding the perfect angles from the viewfinders. Our gang of Sony, Nikon, Canon and many others was wandering and snapping, shooting and gathering footage from this marvellous techno-fest. With so many cameras dedicated to covering individual events, we also had a team-member collecting and managing data according to the dates, and events, thereby eliminating confusion. This goes in the books of ‘Data Management’ for us. Also, note that this is just the tip of the iceberg.
Now, when we got the videos loaded on our PCs, the real quest for making a video that’ll live up to the mark of the event started. The two-day event took place in different parts of the same shelter. Demonstrations of the builds made by the youth of India were taking place all over. The jury was indeed very keen to fetch deep details about the mechanisms. The middle of the event was filled with lectures and talks from the honourable jury and guest speakers. Later, prize distributions were held to felicitate and empower bright young minds. All this, in just two days!
So, what’s a Teaser? Google says that it is a short introductory advertisement for a product that stimulates interest by remaining cryptic. We couldn’t agree less, so we made an energetic and upbeat video. And guess what? We did all this in just 1 minute and 36 seconds! With such a wide base of data, we had to decide what to prioritize and how the video would proceed. The video opened with bytes of the participants and took the viewers on an eventful walkthrough. Incorporating text and pertinent graphics, we made the teaser a fast-paced and music-led video. The text fillers acted as separators for the video segments. Following the colour theme and maintaining the vibe of the video as well as the event, our line-up travelled through the view of the setup, the before and after of the event, inauguration, demonstrations of inventions, lectures of the guests and finally, concluded with the prize distribution ceremony. The last frames invited people to pitch in their ideas and notified them that KPIT is looking forward to receiving ideas and entries for the year 2023.

The Outcome
A teaser that left people wanting to see more! Well, that’s what teasers are for, right? KPIT Sparkle is an event that emits the feeling of satisfaction and happiness as it acts as an indicator of the bright and excellent future of our country. With the teaser, we gave the viewers a look at the grandeur of the event and held their promotions too.
